All two to six-night river cruises from Echuca aboard the deluxe paddlesteamer, PS Emmylou, will include complimentary wine and beer with dinner from April, 2021, Murray River Paddlesteamers has announced and savings of up to $530 per couple are available on ‘Winter Sun’ sailings this year for bookings made by January 31, 2021.
From April 1, 2021, fares for all two to six-night cruises will include selected wine and beer with dinner, allowing guests to toast their relaxing journey along the iconic Murray River.
Carrying just 16 guests, powered by a restored 1906 steam engine and totally refurbished with deluxe cabins and ensuites, the boutique Emmylou paddlesteamer starred in the hit 1983 TV mini-series, ‘All the Rivers Run’, starring Sigrid Thornton, and is still one of the most recognisable and iconic paddlesteamers in Australia.
The enchanting PS Emmylou offers two to six-night journeys along the meandering Murray River round-trip from Echuca year-round, with visits to wineries, historic farm stations, indigenous sites and the World Heritage-listed river red gum wetlands at Barmah.
Guests will also enjoy meals on deck or in the charming saloon, riverside picnics, a memorable campfire dinner on the riverbank under the stars and the chance to join the crew in the wheelhouse and even try their hand at steering the boat alongside the skipper. At dusk, the rare, wood-fired paddlesteamer ties up at tranquil and remote moorings, allowing guests to experience the serenity and wildlife of the bush at night.

The ‘Winter Sun’ sailings are from June 1 to August 31, 2021. Secure carparking is normally $25 a night.
Including the 10 per cent discount, a three-night ‘Winter Sun’ sailing is now available from $1395 per person, twin-share - a saving of $310 per couple plus free carparking worth $75.
A four-night cruise this winter is now available from $1935 per person, twin-share, including the 10 per cent discount, which represents a saving of $430 per couple plus free carparking worth $100 – a total saving of $530 per couple.
Fares include gourmet, multi-course meals, daily shore excursions, and from April 1, 2021, selected beers and wines with dinner.
